Hello! My name is Andre Santos and I am games industry veteran of over nine years. I have spent much of that time working for Bioware on the Dragon Age franchise as senior environment artist. My responsibilities as a member of the environment art team have included modelling, texturing, lighting, world building and level designing.
Throughout the course of Dragon Age: Inquisition and the transition to the next generation of consoles I focused my skills on terrain generation, world building and level design. Additionally, I spearheaded a project to create a texture library(similar to CgTextures) and prepare our studio for photogrammetry practices. By the end of Dragon Age :Inquisition we had amassed a texture library of over 7,000 images and achieved a unique visual look for Dragon Age.
When I’m not working professionally I enjoy reading about new technology and techniques in the industry and learning ways to apply them practically to my skill set. In addition to gaming my hobbies include photography, travelling and the outdoors.
